Cacao & Maca Chia Oat Porridge

This morning’s brunch is Cacao & Maca Chia Oat Porridge.

I decided on this little bowl of ingredients because it is jammed packed with hormone balancing benefits:

    * Oats – classed as phytoestrogens which are plant foods that can provide a weak oestrogen effect in the body and balance levels (either up or down as needed).
    * Chia Seeds – another phytoestrogen as well as being a good protein source for hormone production and a source of omega 3 fats for healthy cell membranes
    * Maca Powder – this is a powdered root that has been shown to support hormone balance (if you are going to include this in your diet you should build up levels slowly)
    * Walnuts – another source of protein and omega 3 fats
    * Blueberries – these are low sugar fruits providing a good source of vitamin C to support adrenal health as well as being high in antioxidants

What a tasty bowl of goodness!!
